Hearing about how Dole used gangs down in South America to enforce their “growing” operations and other controversies related to the brand would be terrific for this page. Wiscipidier (talk) 20:07, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

I strongly believe that this article needs a separate Criticism and Controversies section, to aid readers in quickly navigating to, and reading about the company's negative practices. By "hiding" it in the history of the company under the guise of comprehensiveness, I think we have muddied the accessibility of key information. Additionally, I find the lack of thorough research / writing of this article a little surprising. For example, a similar section in a competing brand's page clearly mentions Dole, but somehow is not a section in this article.

How is there no mention of Dole‘s work with the Contras against the Sadinist government?
