i believe this to be a photo of a restored Dodge M37. it was taken by me, and i think i have given it a compatible license under flickr, but i don't wish to get involved in editing wiki pages. if the license isn't compatible, feel free to contact me and i can re-license it. of course if it's not an M37, let me know.Fwaggle (talk) 03:58, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

16 Dec 2016 name

I am thinking of renaming this to "M37 Series 3⁄4-ton 4x4 truck". I am thinking of renaming several other articles to this format, so they all look the same. Sammy D III (talk) 19:43, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

Relationship to Toyota FQ

@Toyota Archive guy: has stated in the article that the Toyota FQ is actually a Dodge M37. But his single reference https://landcruiserhm.com/museum-collection/vehicle-collection/32-1962-fq15 does not even contain the word Dodge. What we have is a visual similarity. In an edit summary at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Toyota_Type_A_engine&curid=12589341&action=history he said look at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1503428180402926/permalink/1580954839316926/ . Facebook is explictly listed as not a reliable source (see WP:RS and WP:USERG). But even if we allowed that, the Facebook reference only says "Toyota was given a contract by the US Army to make a vehicle similar to the WW2 Dodge WC series 3/4 Ton truck." In its early years, Toyota certainly had a history of copying the look and feel of vehicles from other countries. But it must be shown that the relationship is deeper than "similar" or mere looks.
