1st appearance

[edit]

While Albert Desmond did appear as Mr. Element in Showcase #13, he did not appear as Dr. Alchemy until Showcase #14.--De 02:23, 2 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Clarification

[edit]

Can someone clear up the "Desmond" references; its not clear where the article refers to the first or second character. Perhaps the article to should include the split to make it easier to understand? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heroville (talkcontribs) 23:47, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not a minor character

[edit]

These characters seem to have enough info to fill their own page if compiled together, like what was done with the shark (comics) page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shallowgravy (talkcontribs) 17:57, 10 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

"Have enough" secondary sources to meet general notability? (No, primary sources and press releases don't count.)
"Have enough" critical commentary to out weigh a recounting of the plot of the comics?
To be brutally honest, there isn't any. The best, under Wikipedia guidelines and policy, is:
  • Who created the characters.
  • Which issues they each first appeared in.
  • Which issue "Mister Element" first appeared.
  • A brief in-story background.
  • And when writers have found the need for "rebooting", "revamping", and retconning. And "why" would be good to go along with that.

To be honest we have a good detail on all the characters that use these two aliases on the List of Flash enemies articles. Also a question needs to be made. Beside their powers how are they (Mister Element and Doctor Alchemy) determined as the same character. Jhenderson 777 02:38, 20 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
And where the redirect originally pointed had covered the same material. (Yes, I think it should have staid at the more general DC list.)
Nothing has changed since Shallowgravy tried to restore this extend plot dump last time. And frankly, they should have posted a discussion instead of just reverting.

Oh... and as to the last question: Desmond was the villain in Showcase #13 & #14 later stories played up his flipping between the two costumes. Others later used parts of his two costumes. - J Greb (talk) 23:02, 20 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
OK then. I learned a bit thanks to this site along with this and this. So what do you think. Should this be merged? Jhenderson 777 23:17, 20 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it should.
- J Greb (talk) 23:56, 20 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I will give a shot on merging it then. A editor can revert me if he likes but hopefully he will discuss it here if so. Jhenderson 777
