Fair use rationale for Image:Doc-Martin.jpg
[edit]
Image:Doc-Martin.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

- Is the title image currently used (i.e. "Doc Martin") the best image to use for this page? Is it that iconic? Or would a photo of the main character, Doc Martin, or the cast be more appropriate? I personally would prefer a character or cast photo--thoughts? Tepkunset (talk) 16:44, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Doc Martin Cancellation
[edit]Doc Martin has not been officially cancelled yet so I changed it to 2 September 2004 - present. It should stay this way because it is still technically a currently running TV show until they cancel it so there could very well be another series. The people who change my edits don't cite a source saying the 13 November episode was the last one and that the show has been cancelled. If it has, please cite a source like a responsible person would. God'sNotDead (talk) 02:37, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
- I mean, the last episode of that season was literally called "Series Finale". Sounds pretty final to me. Gistech (talk) 08:21, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
- The series ended per agreement of the producers/et al - it was never 'cancelled' - massive hits are never cancelled. They felt the show had run its course. 2603:6080:21F0:6C00:E0A0:407F:55BB:6357 (talk) 00:55, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
Series in the UK means what 'season' in the US means. There have been 9 series' of this show. God'sNotDead (talk) 00:18, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
Please stop adding items that have no direct connection to Doc Martin
[edit]Please stop adding items that have no direct connection to Doc Martin. Otherwise this list could expand to dozens of unrelated shows about misanthropic doctors. WP is not a viewing guide, nor a Netflix suggestion list. "if you liked this, maybe you'll enjoy ... " Spin-offs, Novel tie-ins, other related works are great additions. • Bobsd • (talk) 19:49, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
Fox U.S. derivative series 2026
[edit]I agree with the previous comments based on "I think 'series x' was sort of like Doc Martin have no place in the article, but now that Fox has announced a U.S.-based version called Best Medicine which is an authorised version about a New England doctor with the give name of "Martin" who relocates from Boston to a rural coastal area due to his developing haemophobia, this merits mention in the article. ~2025-40759-36 (talk) 19:26, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
