@Pbritti: It all seems a very roundabout way to have basically just performed the RM requested while the AFD was ongoing... Srnec (talk) 21:53, 15 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Srnec: The AfD was not ongoing, as it was closed at 12:47 UTC, 12 March 2025. Both the RM and AfD seemed to appraise the material added to God the Sustainer mid-AfD as unrelated to the subject. Since that RM proposed a move to Divine conservation, I copy-and-pasted that material at 12:51, 12 March 2025 (four minutes after I was notified that the discussion had closed). ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:23, 15 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
I meant that the RM was opened while the AFD was ongoing. Since God the Sustainer cannot now be deleted, wouldn't it just make more sense to move it to this namespace? Leave the talk page intact and let future editors see what happened. For example, I had no idea what you'd done because I can't see it from the history of the page from which you copied the material. (One thing everybody agrees on is that 'God the Sustainer' was a bad title.) Srnec (talk) 23:00, 15 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
That would contradict the AfD, as there was a consensus that God the Sustainer is a subject that should be covered, but under the broader Conceptions of God. For 19 years, that article and its history were about something different than what another editor turned it into earlier this month. The issue was the insertion of that material into God the Sustainer–an untenable name according to everyone. I decided to execute the consensus at the AfD (especially since the RM looked like it would fail as either no consensus or procedural close). It was going to be awkward no matter what, so I went with what another editor (Dclemens1971) had proposed within the RM. ~ Pbritti (talk) 23:19, 15 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
