UK

[edit]

I recall this feature being marketed by BT in the UK in perhaps the late 1990s or early 2000s. I don't recall how much they charged for it, and I certainly never came across anyone who signed up. It would be good if anyone who knows about this or has access to sources could provide some information. Was adoption poor? Rather like personal numbering and getting a second phone line for dial-up internet, it seems to be one of those things that was overtaken by advancing technology and never extended its reach beyond early adopters. Is this a fair summary? Beorhtwulf (talk) 20:16, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
