- Totally agree, whoever you are. I'd add that discrete-time systems often have continuous state variables. Cooperised (talk) 10:12, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
New Stub
[edit]Today, I created a new stub that ties discrete systems to mathematical models, finite state machines, and the theory of computation. As the unsigned comment above points out, discrete-time systems are mearly a convenience so that we have a way to model continuous systems using discrete elements.
