Misplaced focus - NPOV?

This article's focus seems misplaced.

There is a lot of coverage of criticism of direct provision, but not much coverage of what it actually is, or arguments for it.

As such, this article reads more like something with the title "Criticism of direct provision" or "Direct provision scandal". Jerdle (talk) 19:40, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

As an asylum-seeker in Ireland I agree. I made significant changes to this page.

The views expressed previously are those of extremist groups from the far-right and far-left to justify anti E.U. and anti-migrant sentiment.

It's not perfect but going from framing asylum-seekers as ridden with mental health issues without context as to why to where it is now is grand. 188.65.190.66 (talk) 07:42, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

I lack the interest in reviewing all the anti- direct provision references used in this page previously and are still attached. No counter references are provided to make the article unbiased besides my own contributions. If someone is interested this would be a great NPOV contribution. To Asylum-Seekers and Irish citizens-

Don't let the fear mongering deter you. Direct provision is just the name for the Irish system of taking care of asylum-seekers. It may have had a poor past, but that was due to it being built from the ground up. No such system existed before, and no replacement is being offered. Anyone who advocates ending direct provision is doing it either for bigoted reasons, or out of ignorance.
