Name Spelling

Despite the first reports by Agence France-Presse spelling it Denis N'Canha, most reports now, including Reuters and Associated Press, are spelling it Dinis N'Tchama. Should we change the name? Pickled Pigeon (talk) 21:03, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Name spelling: Incanha appears most reliable spelling at this moment, edited accordingly

From what I can find, most reliable sources published in Portuguese or from Guinea Bissau use the spelling Incanha, as well as the sources used in this article. The variants N'Tchama and N'Canha are attested mainly by more unreliable sources not from Guinea Bissau.

A such, I have edited the page to reflect what is currently thought to be the correct spelling, Incanha. I have added a refrence label which also shows additional spellings.

Until the Bissau government or media clarify which spelling should be used, I ask my edit not be changed. I believe it is the most transperant thing to do as of now (the previous revision lists both which may lead people to believe N'Tchama is his middle name). Cheers. Possible birthdate?
