- I guess no one saw this for 5 years. I changed it based on this MSDS. Zagadka314 (talk) 18:33, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Wrong ChemSpider identifier in chembox
[edit]The identifier 13854808 for ChemSpider, which is used in the article, leads to 1,1-Dimethoxyethane, but this article is about 1,2-Dimethoxyethane, so the identifier in this article has to be fixed. I searched the database and found that 13836589 for ChemSpider leads to Dimethoxymethane, with the molecular formula C4H10O2 and the IUPAC name (generated by ACD/Name) 1,2-Dimethoxyethane. It looks like 13836589 is the correct identifier for this article. Can someone check if it is correct? If it is correct, should the green check next to 13854808 (the wrong identifier) be removed? - Done. InChI and InChIKey also had to be updated as they were for 1,1-Dimethoxyethane, not 1,2-Dimethoxyethane. Nice catch, thanks for letting us know! Preimage (talk) 15:34, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
