The cited source does not backup the claims made on this page (in large). The idea of digital component is nonsensical. The claims made about colourspace and how it's defined are absolutely right, but irrelevant. Composite and component video are terms used to describe the electrical separation (or not) of analogue video signals. Digital video signals are broken down mathematically and represented in bits and bytes, not analogue voltages.
