Detroit Basketball

[edit]

I think Detroit Basketball should be redirected here.

I know it really stinks because I really need help on my science fair project!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.248.89.180 (talk) 19:15, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

2000-2008 Section

[edit]

This section is getting really long and I think that it needs to be cleaned up a bit. What does everyone think? --Vertigo315 13:58, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

18 years later and this comment is still relevant. What is the "Goin' to Work" era? It's a sub-header with no text explaining the era. E bailey (talk) 01:32, 27 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

new section- History of the Detroit Pistons

[edit]

How do others feel about this idea? I think it would be good to make it, it's own article that focuses on just how the team has evolved.--Levineps (talk) 17:21, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Division Champions

[edit]

The Pistons did not win 4 Division titles in the NBL. In 1943 and 1944, the NBL competed as one section of teams. There were no Divisions to win. MrArticleOne (talk) 00:19, 15 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

In any event, NBL records are not considered valid for any statistics in the NBA, only BAA records count.Reigndog (talk) 21:19, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
While I can understand that an NBL title wouldn't count toward present-day cumulative statistics, it still happened. It's a matter of historical record. I don't see how the NBA can pretend that it never happened, even if it doesn't recognize those accomplishments as counting toward cumulative NBA accomplishments. Pistons Hall of Fame Section

[edit]

This section should be updated like the other teams. For example:

Team Colors in Infobox

[edit]

The colors are basically identical to the Philadelphia 76ers. Think we need to somehow change the scheme. Maybe place the White where the blue is and make the words blue with a red outline or something? 2601:82:C001:F5B0:55:AE4:174D:5B21 (talk) 05:03, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Bad Boy" Pistons

[edit]

I believe that the "Bad Boy" Pistons section should have its own page to adequately reflect the importance of that era of Detroit Pistons basketball to the overall course of NBA history, as well as its importance to the Detroit Pistons franchise specifically.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Nymusix (talkcontribs) 06:10, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hooper merger discussion

[edit]

Hooper (mascot) doesn't have nearly enough information (and certainly not verifiable information) to warrant its own article. Whatever bits that sources can actually be found for should be moved here (Detroit Pistons). -- Fyrael (talk) 22:13, 12 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
