Split from Discovery Home

[edit]

If the network has completely changed its name, its focus, and chosen entirely different programming, would it be better to retain the original Discovery Home article and keep Planet Green separate? -- Bovineone (talk) 16:01, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

At least one other editor seems to agree with me. Where can I read the discussions relating to this merge? -- Bovineone (talk) 16:19, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I agree. Here's how you can suggest a split: Wikipedia:Splitting Msw1002 (talk) 17:01, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Okay, check out User:ViperSnake151/Planet Green, just a few wording tweaks made it into a "separate article" ViperSnake151 17:08, 5 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Split - I think articles articles should be listed separately. Discovery Home was formatted similar to HGTV for home specific items such as home improvement, cooking, etc. Planet Green is formatted as ecologically friendly programming whatever you do in your life. Msw1002 (talk) 18:26, 5 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Split- Should be two separate articles, such as the example "User:ViperSnake151/Planet Green" for Planet Green and a created one for Discovery Home. Mca2001 (talk) 14:48, 12 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Strong Oppose Standard convention on other pages it keep its total history intact despite a format change. No reason to change that here. Examples include ION Television, Spike (TV channel), Investigation Discovery, Versus (TV channel), Hallmark Channel and TruTV. Convention changes should be decided at Wikipedia:WikiProject Television -- Cmjc80 (talk) 21:11, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Current programming

[edit]

Has anybody bothered to update the current programming list, there's no signs of anything that doesn't have the words "Paranormal" or "Haunted" in them. --2601:199:4181:E00:E170:E031:E912:CC40 (talk) 02:22, 8 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Very confusing

[edit]

There have also been two major tv series shown in the US (the first also in the UK), both called “Destination America”. The first was shown on PBS in the 1970s, the second is here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489595/

Can someone sort this out? 15:19, 30 May 2025 (UTC) 2A00:23C8:21AC:E201:E0CF:3864:9F7A:FE99 (talk) 15:19, 30 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Here is a source listing the entire 1975 series (it shows copyright 1992, but The New York Times lists it as first shown in 1975):-

In fact there were nine films produced for the 1975 series, not all shown in all territories. A source is here, but I have been compiling a full list of all nine titles shown under the umbrella title of "Destination America":
