The "Types of desorption" section is obviously refering to some specific application of desorption, rather than the general phenomenon of desorption the article discuss. I suggest this is pointed out, so that it is specifically stated what kind of application that are listed.MigB (talk) 17:12, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
Desorption in context of plasma science and astrophysics
[edit]The article would benefit from a discussion of desorption into a plasma, including in the contexts of intertial fusion energy (like maybe laser-plasma interactions) and astrophysics (like when a UV photon impacts a dust grain and results in photoelectric heating of the interstellar medium). I'm also curious about the extent to which desorption plays a role in solid-to-plasma and liquid-to-plasma phase transitions.
