Reliability and accuracy
[edit]It seems to me that DMI is a low priority for aftermarket motherboards, to the extent that much of the information provided through DMI is either blank, mislabeled, or buggy. Popular diagnostic tools seem to rely somewhat heavily on DMI and as a result they often report incorrect parameters. Because the integrity of the data is so low, it somewhat defeats the purpose of having the feature. A person trying to diagnose obscure low-level problems with a PC cannot rely on the data from DMI. It seems to have little real purpose other than to whet the curiosity of technophiles. 99.4.76.54 (talk) 08:02, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Should this be understandable?
[edit]Instead of the first line being "DMI generates...," it should be "DMI is..."
Putting it another way, instead of beginning with what it does, begin by telling us what it is. After letting us know what it is, then you can get into telling us what it does. Nei1 (talk) 14:43, 6 October 2017 (UTC)
