Separated from Anti-Scaling Agent
[edit]As mentioned in Talk:Anti-scaling agent, Descaling Agents or Descalers are chemicals designed to remove existing limescale, not to prevent scale from forming in the first place. These chemicals are entirely separate from Water softening chemicals. I am creating a stub article in place of the redirect. OmegaPaladin (talk) 20:18, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
De-jargon the section on "buffered" descaling agents
[edit]Too much jargon and commercial-speak in the section on "buffered" descaling agents. It sounds like the concept is simple, just a mixture of a weak base and a strong acid or a weak acid and a strong acid.
