American owned?

[edit]

At the time, the Derry Castle bore a Boston, Massachusetts registration and was owned by P. Richardson & Co.

This was uncited, and I have failed to find any source. Every mention of it found online is a copy from here. It is not even hinted at in the shipping press, Lloyd's Register, Lloyd's of London, Mercantile Navy List, all of which speak of a Limerick-registered vessel owned by Spaight as lost. But yet it seems very specific, so have brought it here for review. - Davidships (talk) 03:15, 11 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
