Disputed slogan

[edit]

I have hidden the unsourced and highly-unlikely slogan:

Mucho + k Moto (Mucho màs que moto/ Much more than motorcycling)

This slogan was added in this edit in 2007 by an IP address showing as Richmond, Virginia, US and only active during 2006 and 2007.

The first bit Mucho + k Moto does not Google as a slogan, nor does it Google machine-translate, and uses SMS text-speak abbreviation with the letter k - pronounced in Spanish as 'kay' in English - instead of writing que - also pronounced as kay - for quickness.

I think it's unlikely any Spanish or Spanish/Italian company would publicly use such a slovenly motto. If any genuine source can be found then it can be restored.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 22:42, 5 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'm not saying you are wrong, but the slogan does appear on the bottom of this Italian page dated 2006 when the brand was discussed prior to it's appearance at the EICMA exhibition in Milan. Perhaps someone in marketing at Piaggio thought it scanned well in Italian but quickly realised it didn't look so good in Spanish. Mighty Antar (talk) 23:44, 5 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

OK, much appreciated. Looks like a promotion for conceptual themed clothing. A bit too tenuous to be regarded as a generalised engineering ideology, as yet.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 00:19, 6 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
