vandalism
[edit]Not sure how to fix this, but the link to "democracy' now has, when you point your cursor, a "preview text" that says DEMOCRACY NOT FREE. DON'T BE FULLED IT IS A LIE
Pointing this out so someone can fix it. Or at least the link from the social cycle theory article. 24.185.110.252 (talk) 06:41, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

"Under a minimalist definition of democracy, rulers are elected through competitive elections"
[edit]This is wrong. Athenian democracy was conducted mostly through the lottery, and until the advent of American liberal democracy, democracy was synonymous with the lottery and not elections in public discourse. Competitive elections are a feature of liberal democracy. We should try to differentiate democracy, the vague term used by everyone, from more specific currents, such as liberal democracy. age of democracy map
[edit]the map "age of democracy 2020" is wildly misleading. yes, I understand that east Germany didn't make the cut before 1989/90, but this does not reset the whole of Germany. the map has to be removed or at least corrected. ~2026-32003-06 (talk) 06:02, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
