Taking this so it doesn't get snatched up. Expect comments hopefully tomorrow if everything goes to plan. kline / talk / contribs 17:38, 14 February 2026 (UTC)

General comments / concerns
[edit]- Link claymore where appropriate. kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Not required per GA standards, but having alt texts on the images would be nice. kline / talk / contribs 20:32, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Will do eventually. λ NegativeMP1 08:15, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Lead
[edit]As a playable character, she utilizes the Pyro element...
- Can this be explained further in the lead? A casual reader might not know what the Pyro element entails in the game. kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)which, in of itself, was highly anticipated
- This is redundant, "which was highly anticipated" gets the same point across + for future reference it's spelt "in and of itself" kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)A social media campaign began with the goal to persuade miHoYo into making the character more powerful.
- Did anything result from this campaign? kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- Clarified that it went nowhere.
Conception and design
[edit]Dehya is voiced in Chen Yu in Chinese, Dehya is voiced by Amber May in English,
- Redundancy. kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- Fixed. λ NegativeMP1 05:51, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
Appearances
[edit]In the lore, she serves as the bodyguard of Dunyarzad, who is a servant of Lesser Lord Kusanali.
- Why are these characters relevant? Can this be expanded upon more? kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- Expanded upon it slightly to clarify what Dunyarzad. λ NegativeMP1 05:51, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
uses a Claymore as her weapon type.
- Weapon type makes it seem vague. Can this just be summarized as her weapon? kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- It's meant to be vague as claymores are a weapon type in Genshin as opposed to a singular weapon. I've reworded it slightly to clarify it's Claymore-type weapons. λ NegativeMP1 05:51, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
Reception
[edit]Following the trailer's release, thousands of Chinese players donated 680 Renminbi each to the organization.
- Is there a reason as to why the Chinese players specifically donated 680 Renminbi? kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- Clarified. λ NegativeMP1 05:51, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
They believed that, in order to make her usable
- Redundancy. Can be cut to "They believed that to make her usable". kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- I know it's a little late, but I'm not too sure whether this was strictly necessary. The length is similar and the meaning is the same. Gommeh (talk! sign!) 20:20, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- Putting this down as a reply before I pass it, for the sake of at least clarifying why I asked this. As per some people's writing standards, including mine, I consider "less is more" to be the way to go. WP:TERSE refers to this (while an essay), and I believe that getting rid of "in order to" to have the concise version is the best idea. kline / talk / contribs 22:01, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

due to wonky and low reach as well
- Wonky seems like a vague word to be used here, can this be specified upon further? kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)He further claimed, while multiple players awaited the ability to play as Dehya
→ "He further claimed that while..." kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- Reworded λ NegativeMP1 05:51, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
to persuade miHoYo into buffing
- 1. This should be changed into "of persuading miHoYo to buff" for the sake of proper verb form, and 2. is "buffing" appropriate wording here? Seemed like saying "more powerful" in the lead worked well as is. kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- Reworded λ NegativeMP1 05:51, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

| Her Elemental Skill increases the player's party's resistance to interruption, allowing other party members to keep attacking without being knocked over by an enemy and work as if they had a shield. Meanwhile, her Elemental Burst grants her Pyro-charged fists for a short period of time. Though able to push enemies away, it limits her attack range to what is directly in front of her and prevents other attacks from being used while it is active. | |||||

- Also, does the Kotaku source avoid the post-2022 content farm issue? kline / talk / contribs 20:32, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Replying to the above source concerns:
- For some reason, Japanese VA info in Genshin from reliable sources is hard to come across. The primary source is preferable to some other sources that may discuss it (which are generally low quality)
- Removed the GamesRadar+ source from that specific instance
- No, I do not think this Kotaku source suffers from content farm issues.
- λ NegativeMP1 05:54, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- Agreed on the primary sourcing for the JP VA's. I personally find either the game itself or the game's official Japanese Twitter account as good sources for these (depending on the character). Gommeh (talk! sign!) 14:38, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]@Gommeh and @NegativeMP1, here are some comments to work on. Will get sources preferably almost right after I finish writing this comment, but it will be my first time using Veracity, so bear with me. Cheers, kline / talk / contribs 19:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Kline: Thank you for reviewing! I went through all of the above comments and addressed them. λ NegativeMP1 05:55, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- @NegativeMP1 & @Gommeh; thanks for addressing all my concerns. I have nothing else I can pick out on a second look, so I'll pass this. Cheers, kline / talk / contribs 22:02, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
