“Kid Cities” as a Full Documentary

I noticed that the episode “Defunctland: Kid Cities” is listed as a full length documentary feature under that tab of the article. I personally don’t see why Kid Cities is listed there, particularly when Kevin Perjurer hasn’t categorized it as such himself, having given it the “Defunctland” tile and not placed it within the “Documentary Features” playlist. Yeah I think its listing as a feature-length documentary is a mistake, since it's also (and more fittingly) listed as a standalone "minisode". Harryhenry1 (talk) 06:51, 1 December 2025 (UTC)

Why is this article structured like one for a TV show and not one for a YouTube channel?

It's not the Defunctland branding that's the deciding factor here, the playlists on the channel are. Seems like a bit of an arbitrary line, since the symphonic history is the only thing added to that playlist in the last five years, so perhaps he's been forgetting to add them, especially sinc. Also the idea of a YouTuber doing 'seasons' is something of a bit of an idiosyncracy of the 2010s which a lot of YouTubers have moved away from. Excluding the Handwich video, which has no Defunctland branding, but also the Garfield ride video, which does, seems confusing. However you feel about YouTubers dividing up their videos by "seasons" or how much the branding actually matters, this is what Kevin has decided to do. OK, fair enough, I hadn't found the minisodes playlist (although I note that these are also all Defunctland-branded, but other videos like the Handwich one are included in the list but not the playlist). Nonetheless, it would probably be good to have a source from Kevin at least confirming whether or not season 3 has concluded. I also, regardless of Kevin's internal system, question how useful having the videos laid out like this is, since given the YouTube algorithm and other factors, I do not believe a viewer would experience the channel as this page suggest they would. Nonetheless, that may be a bigger problem with Wikipedia pages on YouTubers, so I'll park that discussion if need be. Mozartnut (talk) 23:23, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
