Dr. Bertelsen does have his own company and has worked in the aviation deflected slipstream technology field for over 50 years, and continued to do so after US government projects ended in the 1960s. The references to his work in this article are not to promote his work, and do not make any claims for his designs, but mention him as the person currently most connected with deflected slipstream technology. The user name of Dr. Bertelsen was used by the person who created this article, in addition to the user name of "VTOL".Dr Bertelsen (talk) 19:06, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
While the author of the article certainly has an interest in the topic, I don't think anything is too far from NPOV. As more people are researching novel forms of VTOL flight today I would suggest being a little lenient about apparent COI, especially if the content is balanced and informative. I have made some updates (Bertelsen died in 2009) and removed the COI flag. Altaphon (talk) 18:52, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
