Please note that the name real (=official) name of this person is not the same as his ethnic moniker "Alan the Kurd", which is the name by which he became popularly known in newspapers. The article notes that his birth name was Alan Shenu, however, multiple reliable sources have determined that his WP:COMMONNAME is Alan Kurdi, hence the name of the article. Alan's father's sister, living in Canada, even calls herself "Tima Kurdi". WWGB (talk) 11:54, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
