Academic career
[edit]These last two sentences in the 2nd paragraph make no sense to me. Regarding the first sentence, apparently scientists cannot use their initials in naming genes. The second sentence just doesn't make sense. There is no citation.
"To be able to use his initials in naming any new genes he found, he studied dominant temperature-sensitive (DTS) phenotypes. He jokingly noted at a lecture at Johns Hopkins University that the only alternative subject was "(damn) tough skin."" Smash1gordon (talk) 18:50, 8 November 2025 (UTC)

BLP violation - synthesis
[edit]The section:
- Social commentary: Genetically modified food
accuses David Suzuki of pseudoscience. Five citations are included; the first is critical of Suzuki's opinions about GMOs but does not describe it as pseudoscientific. The other four are papers from the scientific literature and do not mention David Suzuki; they are just papers about the safety of genetically modified crops in general and don't belong in an article about David Suzuki. The inline citations contain excerpts from the papers cited which also aren't specific to David Suzuki.
I will replace the accusation of pseudoscience with one of criticism, retaining its citation, and I will remove the four irrelevant ones along with the excerpts. Clark42 (talk) 11:18, 2 August 2026 (UTC)
