citation needed tag in the Khalid bin Mahfouz case

[edit]

Removed this tag - the press release (linked in the article) was pretty clear that the legislation was prompted by this particular case, so there's no need for further sources for this statement. --carelesshx talk 01:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

styled The Hon. Mr Justice Eady

[edit]

"Styled" seems a strange way of putting "official title." That's just what you call a judge in England, he's not the Judge-formerly-known-as-Prince or anything. 86.160.40.222 (talk) 23:54, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

that's what "Styled" means. Grover cleveland (talk) 19:04, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Criticism section calls too much upon Paul Dacre

[edit]

Dacre's enmity towards Eady dominates the criticism section and is overused. Can we not find some alternative critical sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.171.180.97 (talk) 10:55, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

When did Eady retire?

[edit]

His infocard says he was "in office" until 24 March 2013, but the body says "As of November 2014, he continued to sit in the High Court as an additional judge" and I am right now reading a judgment of his from 2016 (https://www.casemine.com/judgement/uk/5a8ff73c60d03e7f57eaa239).

Is the infocard wrong, then? Or am I missing a nuanced difference between the office of "Justice of the High Court" and the position of "additional judge", whatever that is? ExplodingCabbage (talk) 16:43, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
