Nice picture, and exactly what we would want to use as the main photo in the article.
The next step is for us to confirm that User:Tempest1968 is indeed Dave Plummer, and not an impersonator. Once we can confirm that there is a way we can mark it as being a confirmed identity.
One obvious way to do that would be to post, on User talk:Tempest1968 A sentence from the title or description of a video on Dave's Attic or Dave's Garage a day before it gets posted to YouTube (a full day is best, because it gives us all time to go to YouTube and confirm that it isn't there already rather than depending on YouTube's loosey goosey date posted algorithm).
Or you can send me an email through Special:EmailUser/Guy_Macon (which I will never reveal without your permission) or post a note at User talk:Guy Macon (which all the world will be able to see) and we can discuss other methods.
OK. I now have a script for a video that has not been released Just so anyone reading this can conform that there is no funny business, the video will contain the following words: flange, Laurentian, torque, hallway, pipeline. More later after the video drops. --Guy Macon (talk) 06:34, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I was going to wait until I had confirmation that I am not talking to an imposter by seeing the video. What you did is probably fine, but be aware that you are opening yourself up to scams and fakes by not confirming who a the person is. --Guy Macon (talk) 05:11, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Howdy, this is Dave. I know how this sounds, but the page says I graduated from college with "high honors" (magna cum laude), but I actually graduated with "highest honors" (summa cum laude). I'd be fine with fixing it or removing the high honors thing entirely, but it's inaccurate as it stands. I'm not comfortable making a "vanity" change myself, though, so I'll let others decide what's noteworthy! Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tempest1968 (talk • contribs) 00:27, 23 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
