Queen

The butcher boy first offers Ozzy some goat meat, But his reply is: "No I might a kill I queen". My understanding is that he means: "No, I might mistakenly kill my Queen nanny goat", as breeding nanny groats are highly prized in Rastafarianism and are referred to as "Queens". But I am unable to find any source for this online. The Rastafari article says only: "Rasta men refer to their female partners as "queens", or "empresses"...". 1974 release

As can be seen here, "Dat" was first released in Jamaica in 1974, on the Wildflower label. But 45cat.com is not regarded as a WP:RS. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:44, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
