Hey, unfortunately I think this is going to be a WP:QUICKFAIL on sourcing grounds.
- [1] Gamer Escape - No mentions at WP:VG/S. Appear to mostly be maintainers of community Final Fantasy wikis.
- [2] MonsterVine - No mentions at WP:VG/S. They at least seem to be engaged in serious journalism, but I see little WP:UBO, cross-pollination with the rest of games journalism, or other evidence they're considered a reliable source.
- [3] Final Weapon - Unreliable at WP:VG/S.
- [9] GoNintendo - Unreliable at WP:VG/S.
- [14] Digital Chumps - Unreliable at WP:VG/S.
- [15] PlayStation Country - No mentions at WP:VG/S. This is a self-published WordPress blog.
Incomplete plot
[edit]@Veyhola, I'd expect the plot section to be finished and the gameplay section to have citations before this passes GAN. Just an FYI. toby (t)(c)(rw)(omo) 20:31, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll try Veyhola (talk) 20:34, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Done Veyhola (talk) 02:08, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- It looks more like a premise than an actual plot. See other video game articles for this type of stuff. It should cover what happens from beginning to end. Also, gameplay should go before the plot unless doing so makes something confusing. toby (t)(c)(rw)(omo) 04:06, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- The game basically ended on a cliffhanger so I don't know how I'd write that. But yea I fixed the plot section and put it under gameplay. Veyhola (talk) 20:59, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Free-to-play?
[edit]No source for free-to-play claim. Checked all store links at the official site, all require a purchase: https://darkauction.com/ Mika1h (talk) 00:17, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I will review this within a week or two. ❧ LunaEatsTuna (talk), proudly editing since 2018 (and just editing since 2017) – posted at 22:49, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
- Prose
- In the lead, at "The game was met with controversy regarding the initial title" you should mention what that title was.
- Gameplay
- "exploration of the life of a "fictional" dictator" – I would remove those marks as vague and informal writing.
- I would do "Players explore the area in first person while rooms lock them into place, forcing them to investigate from a fixed perspective" to connect the sentences better.
- "that leads you" – change to "that leads the player"
- "Once players retrieve information, it is then placed in their Word Cloud" – change to "Once players retrieve information, it is placed in their Word Cloud".
- Does EPO stand for anything?
- Plot
- I think "five participants auctions' succeed" should be "five participants' auctions succeed".
- "Noah doesn't realize" – change to "Noah does not realize".
- Development
- "described it as "authentic" mystery adventure" – change to "described it as an "authentic" mystery adventure".
- "initial stages of development, he" – should be "initial stages of development, that he". Relatedly:
- Make the next part "rest of the developer team".
- Promotion and release
- "announcement of the game under its original title" – it makes sense to mention what the original title was here rather than in the next sentence.
- What date was the "Story, Mystery & Bidding" trailer released?
- No need to bold-text the yen symbol.
- Reception
- Also mention the Metacritic score in the first sentence of this section.
- To remove the redundancy and make it blend more seamlessly, you could make it: Viana would further praise the game for its art and soundtrack, but noted that these "are nowhere near enough to save this game."
- Spotcheck
Passes. I verified some randomly-chosen sources: refs 2, 4, 8 and 16.
Thank you for the fun read! I might play this VN despite the reviews. Anyhow, I have now placed this article on hold to allow for you to make any changes. Please ping me once you are finished so that I can know when to take another look. Also, feel free to ask any questions or refute any of my proposed changes! :) ❧ LunaEatsTuna (talk), proudly editing since 2018 (and just editing since 2017) – posted at 18:42, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
