Production

[edit]

Should we move the paragraphs from the manga/anime chapters/episodes lists and have them put in the production instead, just to make it more unified? - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 11:42, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Dandadan is primarily a manga so I recommend dividing that from the anime. If lists are becoming too long splitting them would be better Tintor2 (talk) 00:42, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then again I did the same with Heavenly Delusion until having enough content to split the anime from the manga. Tintor2 (talk) 00:43, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well that's what I meant; currently the production has two sections. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 01:24, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
If I'm understanding correctly, you're saying to move the content from the 'Media' subsections, 'Manga' and 'Anime', to the respective subsections of the production section, right? That being the case, I don't think this is necessary. Production sections are usually to address background, inspirations, influences, and everything that has to do with the creation of the series, while the other stuff in 'Media' is usually related to release dates, licensing, and that stuff. It is not mandatory to do so, but it is the standard. Xexerss (talk) 01:39, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Inaccurate use of former and latter.

[edit]

You have stated Momo ( who believes in ghosts) went to visit the site of occult occurances ( the former in the prior sentence of the article) and that Okarun ( who believes in extraterrestrial aliens) went to a site known for extraterrestrial activity ( the latter in the prior sentence) The opposite is true. You meed to switch the case of former and latter. 2600:1010:B331:BE43:955D:52FC:F4E3:F020 (talk) 09:36, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

English translation of title

[edit]

Does the title have an official/widely recognized English translation? rtrb (talk) 14:36, 1 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

My understanding is that it's just Dandadan/Dan Da Dan. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 17:24, 1 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Its a untranslatable word 71.173.64.97 (talk) 10:49, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Is there an explanation as to what the title is supposed to mean? Is it just a sound effect of people galloping?Inkan1969 (talk) 00:28, 14 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
No, it's only barely been covered in the manga Cukie Gherkin (talk) 03:01, 14 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Webcomic

[edit]

@Fleyzk Please provide a more compelling reason for removing a term from the article. The manga is published in digital format, so it is an online comic, i.e., a "webcomic", and there is absolutely nothing wrong with stating that. The only reason you are removing it is to maintain "consistency" with other articles, which is absurd per WP:OTHERCONTENT. I have pointed this out to you several times before, but it seems you simply do not want to understand. Xexerss (talk) 17:27, 29 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Okay, if you think it's that important, I won't edit it anymore. It didn't seem that important to me for the reason I mentioned. It's not that I don't want to understand, it's that I actually can't understand why there's no consistency. For example, is it too difficult to write "web manga" in the other articles too? Why writing it in the article about Dandadan but not in the others? It's a mystery to me. Fleyzk (talk) 17:35, 29 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
The term is simply being omitted in other articles, but that doesn't mean it's inherently wrong to include it or that it's prohibited to do so. Not all articles are or should necessarily be written in the same way. No, it's not difficult to include the term in other articles, but that doesn't mean that because it's being included here, we have to rush to edit ALL online manga articles and add "web manga" to ensure consistency. And in any case, this isn't the only article that includes the term “web manga” in the lead. Some examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. But again, the term may or may not be included. I'm just saying that just because another article doesn't have it, that's no reason to remove it from here. Xexerss (talk) 17:51, 29 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
