Which is a spirit distilled from damsons, often tasting strongly of them, sometimes referred to generically as "plum brandy".

I have a bottle of the stunning Slovakian "Bošácka Slivovica", Old Herold Brand. Notable for the addition of many damson kernels which impart flavour of bitter almonds.

Well worth a page in its own right.
