[edit]there needs to be a map showing the area of this region .preferablly one during the persion empire in a arbritary year like 500 BC.i do know that dahae was bordered by persian empire on the South west ,south , south east ,east .my confusion is how rar north it whent i do know that it estends atleast as far north as the south west coast of the aral sea. theres a map of hyrcania and it shows a region that would have been a empire in its own right that seems to have grown larger After the median empire 625 to 550 BC by 500 Bc extending into what what formerly part of Margiana and also into Amardi tribal land. 76.244.154.251 (talk) 12:42, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
It is the nonprofessional map
[edit]In the encyclopedia such card can't be used. It is executed not by professionals and for some reason in Romanian. Besides, on on the west bank of the Caspian Sea there where have to be specified the tribe of so called Caucasian Hones (χonζan), and to the south of their Legia (Laγζan) are specified only Legaes.The Legaes didn't live in so extensive territory of modern Daghestan and Chechnya.To me it is also unclear why so many place is given to the tribe such is, not having any relation to Confederation of Dahistan.In the territory of the Caucasian Albania in antique sources there is also a tribe mention such is, but nobody writes about it.

Massagetae
[edit]Some scholars identify the Dahā/Dahai with the Massagetae, but I have not merged the contents of that page into the Massagetae entry like I did with the entries for Orthocorybantians, Derbices and Apasiacae because there is also a significant number of scholars who still don't accept the identification of the Dahā/Dahai with the Massagetae. And I recommend against attempting to merge the contents of these two pages so long as there is not any confirmation that the Dahā/Dahai were indeed identical with the Massagetae.
