Nucleosides VS Nucleotides

[edit]

In the introduction of this article, it describes guanine as a nucleoside. To my knowledge, and according to the limited research I have done, guanine is a nucleotide and guanosine is its nucleoside counterpart. Are there any experts that can verify or clarify this?
