2,5-Dimethoxy-4-methylphenylcyclopropylamine → DMCPA – The common name of the drug is "DMCPA" and is what it's almost always referred to as in the scientific literature and elsewhere. This term is largely or exclusively associated with this drug with regard to subjects of notability (other Google search results being for non-notable companies, individuals, and organizations). This title is a partial acronym. Citing Wiki policies for the move proposal including WP:OCHEMNAME, WP:COMMONNAME (WP:RECOGNIZE), WP:ACROTITLE, and WP:CONCISE. That is, the common/trivial name is preferred per Wiki policies, an acronym is fine if the acronym is primarily or exclusively associated with the topic in question, and the new title is much more succinct, concise, and readily recognizable. - Support per nom. I did get a surprising number of hits for The DMC Group on both Google and DuckDuckGo but they don't appear wiki-notable. In any case, they don't have an article and DMCPA is already a primary redirect here. —Myceteae🍄🟫(talk) 01:27, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
