ARP spoofing mixed into this article
[edit]It does not become clear how ARP spoofing is connected to DHCP snooping. The content of the article seems to switch completely to this topic after the introduction. Mpeylo (talk) 13:20, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- DHCP snooping is a feature intended to prevent a malicious user from pretending to be the network DHCP server and thus intercepting DHCP packets. Included is also an overview of Dynamic ARP Inspection – whereby an attacker’s gratuitous ARP packets are discarded - for situations where DHCP Snooping may not be applicable. Both DHCP snooping and Dynamic ARP Inspection rely on the same concepts of “Trusted” and “Untrusted” ports. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.161.222.33 (talk) 23:27, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
