Copy edit request

[edit]

My name is Alyssa, I am an employee of Dassault Systemes and have a conflict of interest. Previously, an editor made copy edits that were incorrect. To fix this, I would like to request to change from "Delmiaworks" to "DELMIAWorks" in all instances to match with the style of the page. This is consistent with Wikipedia rules, as DELMIA is an acronym. Thank you Alyssa at 3DS (talk) 17:13, 16 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Alyssa at 3DSI can make this edit and also place a note in the leade to make all uses of "DELMIAWorks" in the article be written in that format. MOS:TMCAPS Please provide a source showing the registered trademark as such and I will make that edit.

@RCSCott91: Thanks! So there is no registered trademark for DELMIAWorks specifically. It falls within DELMIA itself, I am not sure MOS:TMCAPS applies. I think this is still a case of MOS:CAPSACRS as the base "DELMIA" is an acronym. Let me know your thoughts here! In case you're interested, I'm also looking for a reviewer on Talk:Dassault Systèmes. @Alyssa at 3DS since it is an uncommon acronym, I recommend spelling it out the first time it appears followed by the acronym in parentheses. Does that work? RCSCott91 (talk) 20:10, 13 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that works for me; we have it once at the top but you can add it elsewhere in the article too Alyssa at 3DS (talk) 20:05, 27 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Not done for now: Per above, awaiting answer. Valorrr (lets chat) 15:00, 22 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi @RCSCott91: I see you have implemented this! Looking at your edit, I see you moved the acronym from the end of the Introduction into the first sentence.
I think I may have misunderstood your proposal. I was suggesting we add the acronym (DELMIA) the first time it appears. That way, due to MOS:CAPSACRS, we can use DELMIA throughout, including the later instances of "Delmiaworks" to "DELMIAWorks".
To sum it up, my proposal is:
  • Keep the Introduction the same
  • Update the Delmiawork subsection name to DELMIAWorks
  • Within this subsection, update from Delmiawork to DELMIAWorks in the first sentence
For what it's worth, this would keep it consistent too with the IQMS page that "DELMIAWorks" redirects to.
Does this work for you? Let me know if you have any questions! Alyssa at 3DS (talk) 22:37, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Subsection names

[edit]

Hello!

Following the conversation with RCSCott91 and Valorrr, I wanted to re-propose this request in a more clear way, plus I also noticed a typo which needs fixing.

  • Change subsection name "DELMIAaugmented experience" to "DELMIA Augmented Experience”
  • This is the typo, as there is no space, plus this should be capitalized to keep with the style of the whole page
  • Change subsection name "Delmiaworks" to "DELMIAWorks"
  • Now that the acronym is clearly defined, this should be updated per MOS:CAPSACRS.

Let me know if there are any questions! Thanks, Alyssa at 3DS (talk) 13:20, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. Dahawk04 Talk 💬 17:39, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Dahawk04: I have gone ahead and updated the two subsection names, per your go-ahead. Alyssa at 3DS (talk) 19:24, 5 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
