Nitpick: use of current-to-voltage converter to monitor catenary voltage?

[edit]

In the "Construction" paragraph, it is stated that a current-to-voltage converter is used for the monitoring of the overhead wire voltage. I assume that it's used for monitoring catenary line current drain, since the voltage is directly measureable using a standard line voltage metering unit? Or do I miss out on some subtlety about electric locomotive design that should be obvious? Rootmoose (talk) 00:24, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
