"Cymuned have orchestrated protests outside estate agents in England that sell second homes in Wales to English people, yet have spectacularly failed to picket those that sell English homes to Welsh people."

The issue of english people moving into Wales is more destructive than welsh people moving into England. By this I mean that the welsh language is far more under threat than the english language is.

If the english language ever somehow managed to become under threat, a pressure group would appear in favour of protecting the english language. Don't you worry now.

Ideology being removed

Why are you removing the ideology section user @Helper201? The organisation was an explicitly Welsh nationalist organisation (and emerged from a major controversy surrounding English immigration in Wales), and that much is clear within the article? AderynMelyn (talk) 21:40, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

AderynMelyn, the term "nationalist" does not even appear anywhere in this Wikipedia page. Claims need to be cited with sources that explicitly state whatever is being claimed, per WP:SYNTH. Helper201 (talk) 21:44, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

For reference, the Wiki for Welsh nationalism states the following: Welsh nationalism (Welsh: Cenedlaetholdeb Cymreig) emphasises and celebrates the distinctiveness of Welsh culture, Welsh language (yr Iaith Gymraeg) and Wales as a nation or country. Welsh nationalism may also include calls for further autonomy or self-determination, which includes Welsh devolution, meaning increased powers for the Senedd, or full Welsh independence.

The Wiki for Welsh Language Society (accurately) lists Welsh nationalism in the infobox, but also doesn't directly reference nationalism within the article. AderynMelyn (talk) 21:55, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

AderynMelyn, I'm saying whatever claim is added needs to have reliable sources that explicitly state whatever is being claimed. I was just making a point how absent even a reference to the term is from the article, let alone it being properly and adequetly cited for infobox inclusion. Welsh language activism absolutely falls under the bracket of Welsh nationalism. Also, you've now edited the Cymdeithas Wiki to remove Welsh nationalism - the organisation is explicitly pro-independence, in case that's the parameter you're using. AderynMelyn (talk) 22:12, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
