Albanese was guilty of exactly the same offense Dutton is being crucified for in the Criticism section, and by Labor members, yet there's no whisper of the fact. Is this oversight or pure partisanship? Did Cyclone Alfred briefly turn into Subtropical Cyclone on 3rd of March then regained tropical status into 4th of March

The UKMET shows that Alfred briefly turned into a subtropical cyclone before becoming more tropical prior to landfall. Satellite imagery in the latter part of Alfred's lifetime certainly exhibited sub-tropical structure with the system.

@Owen is the best GG: We are not here to speculate on the status of Alfred before it made landfall as that isn't our job, however, what we can do is mention in the MH that it showed characteristics of being a subtropical system. I am a bit busy in real life this week so cant do anything major to Alfred's MH, however, I did get a chance to take a look at the BoM's BT Database last week and they are showing that Alfred was a tropical cyclone with some subtropical characteristics.Jason Rees (talk) 22:42, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

To confirm, Where can I find the source of BoM's BT Database that Cyclone Alfred showed subtropical characteristics. Can I confirm and add it to the Wikipedia Page under Meteorological history section using the sources so to avoid any confusion whether Alfred was Tropical or Hybrid Subtropical. Also I found out that WeatherIQ website said it was a hybrid cyclone.

On 3rd March 2025, Alfred began its transition to a subtropical cyclone. However, the system was still classified as a tropical cyclone despite showing characteristics of a subtropical cyclone. Owen is the best GG (talk) 02:27, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
