Exposition v Summary style

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, while most Sources are expositional; the more words, the less likely an internet user is to read it. So we don't need to know if they met over dinner, or talked quietly - there are a lot of details that are interesting to us as authors, but not relevant to What's this all about?
