This is a great start!

A few notes to consider:

1. You start the first sentence correctly, by naming the topic.

   a. Her name should, however, be in bold. 
   b. Please give her birth year in parentheses, if known, instead of her age (you can use c. if needed, someone else could fix it later)
   c. Examples are here in the Manual of Style

2. I just got some feedback that "self-taught" is not an acceptable descriptor in Wikipedia -- it is considered telling rather than showing. My understanding of this advice is that the first sentence should just say: "is a software engineer, based in Papua New Guinea," then perhaps there should be a section (however short) on "Education." However I do see that most of the sources do not really go into more detail than "self-taught" -- there is this one: [from the World Bank]> Also your Westpac article.
