I think this reference could inform the description of Cryptogramma cascadensis E. Alverson, or Cascade parsley fern. Found in Handbook of Northwestern Plants by Helen M Gilkey and La Rea J Dennis, Revised edition 2001. (Area covered in the book is "roughly that of the rather natural floristic unit from the summit of the Cascade Range to the coastline of Washington and of Oregon as far south as the Umpqua Divide, about the southern limit of Lane County, Oregon. Northern Washington, in its more unique botanical aspects, has been excluded.") Cryptogramma cascadensis E. Alverson, or Cascade parsley fern. "Rhizomes much branched; leaves tufted, dimorphic, herbaceous, sterile leaves spreading, 3-20 cm. long, fertile leaves erect, 5-25 cm. long, leaf blades 2-3-pinnate, ovate-lanceolate to deltoid in outline.
