User talk:Stanmickus has extensively revised this so that it reads like an advertisement. Sanmickus has not written any other articles so this sounds like a sock puppet entry. The discussion about plans to expand and its associated controversy should be in the article rather than sanitized out. Further, my reversions of stanmickus edits initially were just over an insistence on using strike outs. However, given the tone of the summary edits now raise more serious questions. Further, the discussions about the the controversy were not written by me but Stanmickus is taking any edits personally. Americasroof 02:25, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

P.S. There were some good edits about the mechanics and history of the ferry in the stanmickus edits. My problem is only with the sanitizing the controversy and adding promotional material. Hey, guys, I use the #!## ferry and I like it! Americasroof 02:29, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Many old maps I've seen of the east end of Long Island, including a 1971 map from Historic Aerials prove that the ferry existed before then. Maybe it was under a different company name, but it still existed. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 11:51, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
