Local people / historians must be able to confirm more information about the nickname or new name of The Beaufort Arms. How would you spell it?

Were you one of the children who went to Crofts End, if so what are your memories?

Do you remember the quarry opposite the church, it became a playing field for Rose Green School, until the local authority sold it, at auction, to a private buyer? Now it's just overgrown and locked up. There have been several planning applications for housing which have been withdrawn following objections.
