The new taxobox are a big "Fuck" - absolutely go back to the old ones
[edit]The new taxobox are a shit: it's impossible to know anything of them. Please go back to the old modell, it was good, easy to understand, and was ok.

- That's not of big help that there are many taxoboxes, but then there is information needed how to fill them out.

Merge
[edit]Cristabotys pastrinalis should be merged into this article, or else moved to the title of this article and the reverse merge, because Christabotys is at present a monospecific genus. See WP:MONOTYPICFAUNA. Peter coxhead (talk) 07:40, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- No, I don't think so, most certainly quite many African species will be still transferred to this genus.

- I had a look at the Koen Maes paper. It doesn't say anything about any more species being transferred to this genus. Two similar looking species are put in Pramadea. The paper merely says that other specimens that belong in Cristabotys pastrinalis are likely to have been misidentified. So is there a source for the idea that "most certainly quite many African species will be still transferred to this genus"? Without such a source, it seems to me that merger would be in line with policy here. Peter coxhead (talk) 11:09, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
