Slang use of "crib"
[edit]Used in London and probably widely in England to mean a lodging place or place to sleep, and not referring to children. Example:
"Hears as Owen takes the chair at a crib in Bloomsbury. I don't think it be a harmonic meeting altogether. And Huxley hangs out in Jermyn Street". From a satirical pamphlet, "A Report of A SAD CASE, Recently tried before the Lord Mayor, OWEN versus HUXLEY, In which will be found fully given the
