"chain emails of the 1990s, which disseminated hoaxes and urban legends, for example, by promising a terrible fate for users who did not pass them along" - there were already chain letters by snail-mail on paper in the 1970s, as warned about on TV show "Blue Peter", where children were warned not to past them on and to ignore the threats listed therein for people who did not. Can there be a section about ritual CreepyPastas? They are also a popular genre within the community, some popular examples include The Midnight Game, One Man Hide and Seek (Hitori Kakurenbo), The Three Kings and The Elevator Game.[1][2] I am aware that some of these could possibly fall into folklore rather than CreepyPastas, such as Bloody Mary, and if some of my suggestions are considered to fall within this then consider adding those to their appropriate pages.
In the Genres section of this page, I want the two currently existing genres to have a third be implemented alongside them; that of which are ritual CreepyPastas. See "CreepyPasta is how the internet learns our fears" from AEON ("This series is ‘ritual’ creepypasta, a plotless subgenre that tells the reader how to summon or keep away a certain creature, or find a particular artefact."), this source also covers "The Holders" series which is yet another popular example of ritual CreepyPastas, also see The CreepyPasta Wiki ("Pastas about rituals the reader may undergo in order to gain some sort of power or special object. Usually, failure to complete these rituals ends in death or some fate even worse."). You can use the examples previously provided by myself.
