Etymology is wrong

"The estate's name incorporates the Scots words craig, meaning hill, referring in this case to a whinstone hill, and puttock, or small hawk. "

Craig means a rock, and comes from the Celtic. This name is typically Celtic, down to the inverted word order. ~2026-24444-98 (talk) 11:19, 28 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
