Talk:Craig Womack

Not Native?

Craig Womack lists his parents as Coy and Wilma Womack in the acknowledgement of "Red on Red Native American Literary Separatism." Coy Womack is listed as "White" on the 1940 Census. Don't know anything about Wilma. I haven't see any indication that Craig Womack is actually enrolled with any Muscogee or Cherokee nation. Mr. Womack is often described as a "leading" figure or writer within Native American literary studies, so surely it should be easy to demonstrate his enrollment in at least one of the two Native nations he claims to be a descendant from. Womack isn't enrolled in a tribe, hence the "of descent" categories. Genealogical research would be considered wp:original research, so outside of Wikipedia's purview. Yuchitown (talk) 15:47, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Yuchitown

Support for Andrea Smith
