[overdue updates and accuracy]

The article has not received any substantial contribution in years. In the following weeks i will be adding content from 3 scholarly articles in concern to the topic. The first general issue is the wording and accuracy of there current state of the article, many run on sentences that are difficult to follow such as the ones in the background and intro sections, as well as biased and unprofessional language in certain sections. Second is the poor chronological flow, the article jumps rapidly between definitions, history, feminism, etc,. I will work to rephrase the intro and background section to meet wiki standards. The more major update will involve examples and supporting evidence from contemporary and relevant articles, i will use them to add examples of feminism movements associated with craftivism in recent years

Another major change to be added is connection to social media, more specifically, how is craftivism perpetuated through social media such as instagram. Lastly, I think that the criticism section is very brief and lacks any sufficient depth, will try to improve with examples and supporting evidence to reach a more informed view. I will provide a list of sources to be used below, I hope they are useful in helping others improve this article:

It is very difficult with a relatively new topic, but articles should reference reliable sources. References to forum posts or comments fall short of the guidelines at WP:RS. The JPS^{talk to me} 01:06, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

inline links

I removed the inline links in the article and changed them to references per the Manual of Style. The references could probably do with a clean up in terms of formatting. If that is done and additional citations are added, the article could probably easily get to C or B status. --LauraHale (talk) 20:32, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

The italian version does mention DIY (Basteln, bricolage)

I am asking because it might be interesting to translate this article.
