twinning

[edit]

Should we mention the recent twinning of our Hamlet with that of the village of Elfsburg?(Netherlands) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.13.247.1 (talk) 23:43, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't think Elfsburg exists, I think it's a hoax. --Snigbrook (talk) 23:52, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Check your facts snigbot.! Your offending young netherlandy villagers, and they need our respect. Shame!—Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.13.244.218 (talk) 00:48, 18 November 2008 (UTVC)

  • Information needs to be verifiable to be included in Wikipedia. It is not even clear which place it is supposed to be twinned with. Also I don't understand why the omission of unverifiable information would offend people. And you ask me to "check my facts", please identify a reliable source that I can check. —Snigbrook 01:05, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Statistics disagree

[edit]

There are presently two completely different figures for population given. It should be pointed out that the statistics given in paragraph 3 refer to data obtained from a gazetteer published in 1870-72.

A good read-through of the article is in order. --Oldontarian (talk) 09:12, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
